I love these SEAL books by Cat Johnson. Mack, the lead in this book, has shown up in her other books. He's always quiet, deadly, kind of a loner, basically what he appears to be at the beginning of this book. He's suffering from nightmares about a friend who died while taking Mack's place on a mission, so there's a lot of guilt. Mack decides to go to the bar across the street to drink his way to sleep. While there he notices a pretty coed being embarrassed by a drunk and intervenes-not a typical move for Mack. Lydia, the girl, is grateful, but Mack just wants to walk her to her car, until she kinda insults him and herself. Then she ends up in his bed, overnight, also not typical for Mack. Why is this girl affecting him this way? It gets even better! He leaves with her to head out to his Dad's for brunch, she also has a brunch. Turns out it's the same brunch and they are step siblings, but neither feels that way! Things get more complicated for everyone as feelings get involved, school gets involved, work, everything!!! Who is Mack? Why does Lydia feel so strongly? Why does Mack? The story is great!!Product details

Oh did I love this book. I have to tell you I never read one of Cat Johnson's books before but I saw it on Goodreads and really wanted to read it. I never won it but decided to order it from anyway and loved it. I liked her style of writing and any book about Seals is wonderful to me. As soon as I finished I had to go back to and put the rest of her Hot Seal series on my wish list!
This series includes hot hunky SEALs, and often women in need of love. This book did not disappoint. The catch phrase that caught me was "run, hide, fight" as advice to Lydia from Mack. As the book goes along we learn that the advice given helped save her life. The family connection between the two was an added twist that made this book even more interesting.
Tempted by a SEAL is the perfect blend of drama, romance and sex. The storyline was enjoyable and the author does a great job keeping the reader interested.
Lydia and Mack have an immediate chemistry. Mack gets more out of his relationship than one night of fun.
The only downside of this book is the length . I thoroughly enjoyed the read and would definitely recommend it.
Mack and Lydia met at bar and he rescued her from some drunk guy. Lydia was on her way to meet her mother's new husband and son. Aft err the bar they hooked up and both parted ways the next morning. Low and behold guess who the son was Mack. They were both taken back but oh so much chemistry. Mack was surprised bc he didn't do more than one night stand but this woman got under his skin. Then he was called away on a mission and Lydia didn't hear from him for weeks. Upon his arrival back home he heard about an attack on her school and she was involved indirectly. Mack raced to where she was and knew then she was his for the keeping. Good story just a short read wished it had been longer.
Who can say no to a hot, dark, alpha Seal hunk, especially if it's just for one night? Especially since he just rescued you in a bar from some jerk. Besides, no one will ever know, right?
That's what Lydia thought when she foolishly walked across the street from the bar to Mack's apartment, and Mack wasn't planning on getting involved beyond the night because he was a Seal and he didn't do relationships, and Lydia was too young for him.
Then their lives get complicated by circumstances beyond their control and all kinds of problems and issues present themselves. Sticky wicket and all that.
Lydia and Mack were great together and I loved their story. Cat Johnson is one of my favorite authors of Seals. Don't miss this one!!
Tempted is about motorcycling riding alpha Navy SEAL Mack. I have been waiting for his story since he was introduced as the newest member of Seal Team Six. His love interest is Lydia aka Liddy, they will meet in a bar do the dance as old as time though out the night only to find out the next morning their are step siblings. Yes Macks dad married Liddy's mom over a year ago but Mack hasn't been stateside in months.
Can Mack and Liddy keep their affair a secret? Will Mack finally break his rules and give a woman more than one night?? Could Mack fall in love with co-ed Liddy ?
The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wanted more of Mack.
Tempted by a SEAL can be read as a stand alone but it does belong in Johnson's Hot SEALs series.

Another great Hot Seal book. I love her Seal series. Mack was a loner and did not feel he could have a long-term relationship due to his job with the Seals. His missions gave him nightmares and he spent a lot of time in the bar across the street from his apartment. One night he rescued Lydia from a drunk and they ended up spending the night together. Lydia really liked Mack, but wondered if this was going to be a one night stand especially since Mack left the next day, with no set plans to meet again, to meet his dads new wife and daughter. What a surprise when Lydia turned out to be the daughter. The interaction during lunch was fun! Mack then left on another mission and returns to find out Lydia's college was hit by terrorists. Read the book you will love Mack and Lydia!
