I used to love that feature in the back of Realtor Magazine that had funny stories from agents across the country. It was called "In the Trenches" and I'd turn to it first. It was one of the highlights of the magazine. That's what the entire book "Life Lessons from the Back Seat of My Car" seems to be. A friend of mine recommended the book and I didn't realize it was about real estate.The author, Loren Keim, is a realtor in Pennsylvania who has worked with celebrities, politicians and sports figures and seems to get himself into hot water on a weekly basis, according to the book. There are some sad situations and some truly hysterical ones, and he gives his rather conservative views of the world, but the book is a real page-turner.
One story involves twenty horses escaping from a property during a showing. Another is a family who forgot their grandmother when moving. There's the obligatory 'running into a naked client' of course, and yet another is about Keim being shot at during an appointment. I loved it.

Worthwhile real estate info.
Using the book as a forum for his
political rants, many of which I do personally
happen to agree with, was ill advised and boorish.
I felt, during those pages, like I was sitting next
to some obnoxious guy on a long flight.
Pomposity aside, this guy really does have some
very good real estate insights.
But don't get in his car!!
